Eman Expelled
Tonight, Eman, the Ilonggo scholar, got the lowest texter's percentage vote of 21%, against Panky, Ronnie and Irish.The guy, rock-wise, is very good. But as the competition progressed, one would notice that he's doing the same thing. Same moves. Same raspy voice. Same genre of music. No versatility. Would capture only a small portion of the audience. To make the prognosis worse for him, he can never compete with Irish and Ronnie in the looks department, which obviously was a plus for the latter two and that was shown in the expulsion night tonight.
But, Eman, I must say, is funny. Good Luck, Eman.

Popularity is what matters BARR the rest. Versatility does not count, look what happened to Yeng when she sang an alanis na alternative rock. She got flack 4 "scaring the audience" but did the audience really felt that way? who knows?. As for me pwede nya edilat mata nya anytime believe me, she can get away with that. How can versatility matter when the scholars are made to fit into molds?(kelangan e para may appeal sa audience) Si Yeng di pwede bad girl, si Panky di rin pwede? ano ba talaga ang gusto nila?. I think ang kailangan is to EXCELL in your chosen genre. I am a fan of ROCK so i'm very sad kasi konti lang ang votes nina EMAN at PANKY si CHAD na lang ang pagasa kasi GWAPO, binoboto (ganyan dito sa pinas) so, may laban sya. I don't know pero i felt BAD when EMAN got eliminated parang mali yata kasi MAGALING sya sa rock-congrats sa kanya at sa mga mentors nya lalo sya gumaling. WELL DONE. ANG PUSO KO AY NAGBIBIGAY NG STANDING OVATION SA INYO! HANEP PRE ANG TINDE!

I'm here in cebu and the cebuanos I've encountered so far...so far ha! were good people. not foul-mouthed like some of the bloggers here...don't judge all ilonggos like hanggang sa yabang lang. pda's over, but it is just the beginning of the 'ex- scholars's life outside the academy..it's so sad that yeng constantino won this competition..i mean, people think she is the best inside the house since she was able to compose that 'hawak kamay' song..duh...i believe that there were scholars from the top six that were even better than she her..she just won bcoz of the people's text votes and not bcoz there were judges during the final gala night who would rate them according or based from their performances(walang kwenta yung gala night)...people were not really surprised when her name was called as the winner..text votes nga diba..the song she sang during the gala night was even so simple and walang impact sa audience...we were even surprised with ronnie(though i am not a fan of his) who was able to do a very good performance..he pulled a better performance than yeng...
the lesson here i mean, is that when we conduct talent shows, it should be performance/talent-based and definitely not fan-based..pbb nalang sana ginawa nyo...well, probably there could be a percentage for text votes but not entirely that you base your winner on votes alone..kasi, not all people are gifted with the ability to understand music entirely...(what is off-tune,who got flat,or who wasn't able to hit a particular note and all that sort of things)..but we could'nt really do anything now, can we?..she is a girl with a common face, common voice, and duh...maraming artists out there who can compose better and smarter and deeper lyrics than she can..another thing is that, we do not want a pinoy version of avril lavigne..i mean, c'mon...avril lavigne is avril lavigne and nobody can ever imitate her style..gawa kaya siya ng sarili nyang style noh..that way, people will remember her...and she better compose new songs fast 'coz people are getting bored with her song..parang novelty song yung kanta nya..hindi rock/punk rock..maybe hindi nya gets what is rock music..
therefore,we are not happy with the decision made...but maybe there are just certain people who just get gaga over yeng...don't wanna contradict that 'coz that is there opinion..but hopefully, the next time around...(if there is a next time) give the 'DESERVING' the RIGHT to win...
