Aside from the NCR dreamers, they also announced some of the Global qualifiers, the one who will have a chance to be included in the top 16:
Australia Gemma Fitzgerald, a 20-year old Irish-Filipino Richard Peralta, a 21-year old singer Michelle Murenec, a 21-year old Yugoslavian-Filipino
Dubai Rosita Bareng, a 21-year old OFW
Europe Joan Ilagan, from Milan Italy, who was discriminated because of her race Rudi Celso, a 25 year old former member of Maneouvers from Norway Michelle Bond, 25 year old Dutch-Filipino
All in all, a good mix! Let’s just wait for the Regional Star Dreamers, especially the ones from Cebu who I guarantee would be equally talented.

I thought they would already enter the Pinoy Dream Academy house, but it was just a special episode announcing the NCR qualifiers. On tonight’s show, they started by showing the top 30 among the thousands of people who auditioned in NCR and Mega Manila. Then, one by one, they revealed the NCR 12 star dreamers. Here, they are:
Czarina “Czar” Rosales, a vocalist from Tondo. Sabi nila may problema daw siya sa diction kahit magaling ito mag-emote. She’s a former “briefcase girl” on Deal or No Deal.
Ronnie Liang, 21 year-old from Angeles, Pampanga. Kulang daw siya sa emotion kapag kumakanta. He was once disqualified from GMA 7’s Pinoy Pop Superstar. From what I remember, he had been the weekly champion for more than 4 weeks, the duration needed to qualify for the finals, when he was dropped by the show. Don’t know why? If somebody knows, please give light…
Wendy Valdez, 24 year-old commercial model from Navotas. Malakas ang appeal, pero matigas daw ito kumanta at kulang ng lambing. She also used to be a beauty queen.
Jonah Grace Maluto, 22 year-old Pharmacy Graduate from Cavite. She is a Sharonian and also a beauty queen.
Christian “Slyde” Ardiente, 26 year-old freelance artist and former radio DJ. He has a suave and cool voice. Pero minsan ay kinakapos. He is a college undergrad, so his aim is to graduate from the academy.
Josephine “Yeng” Constantino, 18-year-old rocker from Rodriguez, Rizal. She was labeled as a “rebel.”
Glenn Capanas, 22-year old pianist from Novaliches. This is the 1st time this afro-haired guy joins a competition. He also discovered his singing talent only two years ago.
Gene Jay Rufino, 24 year-old Masscom student from Novaliches. This multitalented hottie is a former member of Bayanihan dance troupe. Tonight, he sang a Stevie Wonder song.
Jenner “Nei” Mallari, a composer from Nueva Ecija. He sang a self-composed song, “Salamat sa Iyo, Ina”, whish is good and touching. Madalas niya raw kinakain ang kinakanta.
Ryan Jay “RJ” Jimenez, 22 year-old acoustic performer from Pasig. Only on their 1st day on TV, he made points by singing a witty self-composed song, “Miss Kita Pag Tuesday.” I like the line “Isa pa ang ayaw ko pag Tuesday…. Dahil coding ako pag Tuesday.” I’m guessing that he’ll be one of the texter’s favorites.
Francis Reuben Uy, 22 year-old commercial model from San Juan. He was once a member of the Akafellas, a group doing acapellas of contemporary pop songs. He wants to be a singer and a dancer at the same time.
Margarita “Its” Saludo, 24 year-old dreamer with a voice suited fro Bossa Nova and Classic songs. I knew her from college (in UP Manila). She ran for a student body office back then. I also remembered her being cast as a mermaid in the fantaserye Marina.
On August 26, the 12 of them, among with the Regional and Global dreamers, will be sent to Cebu where the final 16 slots who will be the ones entering the Academy will be announced. So, good luck to them.
P.S. Oh by the way, I like the idea of revealing the qualifiers by just playing their pre-recorded voices. Thank you to Sam, a friend, for the videocaps.
Who is your favorite? Who will enter the Academy? Post here.
